The pictures above show the slave quarters on the Kingsley Plantation in North Florida. They were built in 1798, in the midst of the Florida's plantation era, making it the oldest plantation house in Florida. On this plantation there were 25 slave quarters, housing over 60 men, women and children. They each had a bedroom and a common room with a fireplace for heating and cooking. (All of which you can see above)
This historic site is located in North Florida, in the midst of the marsh islands between Jacksonville and Georgia.
